Lost Flamingo Gardens

About Us

WHO WE ARE

Lost Flamingo Gardens is a small urban farm that specializes in microgreen vegetables, spices, and tropical plants. Our farm is located on 1 1/3 acre in the beautiful rolling canyons of Lake Travis. The property also has its very own spring feed creek and fern gully. It is a beautiful and serene setting that allows us (owners Kirk and Marty Jones) to enjoy nature along with giving back to mother earth.

We are both actively involved in growing and harvesting microgreens and gardens. We both wear different hats depending on the task at hand and also have two furry helpers (part-time-naps are needed).

We are very proud to offer 6 varieties of microgreens that are harvested weekly and delivered less than 24 hours after being harvested. Because of this, our microgreens are fresh and have a 2 to 3 week shelf life.

Living foods, such as microgreens, are grown more sustainably compared to conventional agriculture practices. They use less water, need no fertilizer or pesticides, and use less land via vertical farming. Our growing trays are reused, and our growing medium is composted. Locally grown food results in less pollution from transportation and a more sustainable community.

We are excited to share these incredibly delicious and nutritious products with our family, friends, and community in Lakeway, Beecave, and Spicewood. Check out our products page to learn more about the amazing benefits of microgreens.
